At K9 COOL BUS, first and foremost our mission is to promote pet health and wellness one stop at a time and provide dependable, high-quality pet care with the love, respect, and attention every K9 deserves. We treat every dog and home as if it were our own, prioritizing safety, consistency, and peace of mind for pet parents who value trust, professionalism, and genuine care
We are Missy and Pete, the duo behind K9 COOL BUS! We blend calm, intuitive care with strong, structured handling.Missy specializes in helping anxious or shy pups feel safe, while Peter excels with big, high-drive dogs who need confident guidance and focused walks.
We are both Pet First Aid & CPR certified, fully trained, and committed to treating every fur baby like family.

How crazy are Pete and Missy over their K9's? Crazy enough to buy a school bus for them!! It wouldnāt be the first time Peter purchased a car for his beloved pet. āI once bought a Mitsubishi Montero that seated 8 just for my chocolate lab named āKeno.ā It was pretty much the two of us riding around in this big SUV. We had lots of adventures and I eventually sold it to Eric Quan of Quanās Kitchen and he used it to its full potential.
Meet Peter
Hi, Iām Peter, co-founder of K9 COOL BUS and a lifelong dog lover with a special talent for working with big, strong, and high-drive breeds. From Pit bulls to Cane Corsos, I understand how to keep powerful dogs calm, structured, and confident on their walks. I specialize in focused, intentional leash work, helping dogs heel, stay engaged, and release their energy in a healthy way. My approach is calm, patient, and assertive, creating safe and fulfilling walks for dogs of all sizes. With me, your pup gets protection, guidance, and a handler who treats them like family, always.
After commuting to Waltham from Scituate the for past 10 years, every Monday ā Friday, sometimes sitting in traffic up too 4 hours a day, Peter decided to hang up his 500 mile a week commute and try something else that has always been a love of his; spending time with furry friends that have always put a smile on his face. āIād rather spend my day driving around cute and furry K9ās all day long over the 128 grind!ā Sitting in a cubicle and in traffic cannot rival spending time outside, having fun adventures in nature with dogsā¦ you just canāt beat it.
A good dog is a tired dog and we appreciate getting in our steps as well! Itās a win-win for all! Peter has been blessed to have 3 American Staffordshire Terriers, 1 chocolate lab, 1 yellow lab, 1 Italian greyhound, 1 Rat Terrier, 1 Jack Russell terrier and and Old English Sheepdog over the years. āPets have given me so much without asking for anything in return but unconditional love and now I want to give back to them. Most people think Iām helping dogs live their best life. The truth is they are helping me live mine.ā

Hi! Iām Missy, co-founder of K9 COOL BUS. Animals have been a huge part of my life since I was a kid, and turning that love into a real business has been one of my proudest accomplishments. I combine that experience with my passion for animal behavior to make sure every pet feels safe, loved, and understood. Whether Iām walking a shy pup, working with high-energy dogs, or caring for pets while their families travel, my goal is always the same: treat your fur baby with the same love, protection, and respect I give my own. At K9 COOL BUS, your pets arenāt just clients, theyāre family, and Iām honored to be one of their God-pawrents.
Missy, small but fierceā¦ this puck wielding vegan hails from 25 nautical miles north of Scituate from the coastal town of Gloucester Massachusetts. She has spent years in the restaurant business, even working in her families popular restaurant on the North Shore. A vegan of over 13 years, Missy puts animal rights above of her own. Some of her favorite lines are āNothing diedā and āDonāt eat the homies.ā She enjoys crafting her own vegan recipes, of course with Peter as her taste tester. Peter identifies as a vegan but loves his cheese too much. Missyās vegan recipes can be viewed here
Missyās greatest pet accomplishment was caring for her dog named āBrody-yes like the chief,ā that endured a spinal injury and was paralyzed from the waist down. Brody had a custom made wheel chair long before they were accessible nowadays. Missy also had a pair of skis for Brody that he could wear on snowy days. Missy did everything she could for Brody, from inserting a catheter to changing his diapers, even sacrificing her own needs to afford his medical bills. āHe was my baby boy and I would do it over one thousand times again if I had too.ā
